David Brodersen, Benton County Collector would like to remind everyone that the last day to apply for the Senior Tax Relief Program is May 31, 2025. The program also known as Senate Bill 190 or 756, will freeze the property tax amount on your primary residence at the 2024 level. This program was passed as an Ordinance by the County Commissioners in October of 2024. This will protect seniors from future increases in taxes (some exclusion apply). To qualify, you must be 62 or older before Jan. 1st of 2025, own your home and live in Benton County full time. If you only have a weekend home here, you should apply in your primary home county.
