Even though the chilly weather kept the crowd small at the Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, fifteen volunteers sold raffle tickets and raised $403 for the Steamboat Playground Expansion at Drake Harbor, bringing the total raised to date to $24,263 toward the $300,000 goal. The Bibb family will match every dollar donated up to $300,000 so your donations are worth twice as much.

Mark your calendars for the many FUN-draisers coming up:

-April 27 at 6:00 PM, the Warsaw Leathernecks Marine Corps League at 607 East Jefferson will host a Fish Fry and Calf Fries that is open to the public. Menu is fresh fried fish, calf fries, cole slaw, baked beans, hush puppies and cornbread for $15 (kids age 12 and under $6). Cash bar available.

-June 15 at 5:30 PM, Texas Hold'em Tournament hosted by the Knights of Columbus on MO-83 Highway. Buy-in donation of $40 with additions available. $5 supper of pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw and chips will be available. Non-players are welcome to dine too, so come out for an inexpensive meal. Cash bar available.

-July 13 Play for the Playground Golf Tournament at Shawnee Bend. It's a 4-person scramble for players of all levels and genders. $75 donation includes 18 holes, cart, lunch and cash prizes. Cash bar available. Sign-up at Shawnee Bend golf course.
