Zona Gail Elgin, age 57, of Warsaw, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home. She was born on October 18, 1967, the daughter of Charlotte Elgin Beyer and David Lee Elgin.
She grew up in Buckner and graduated from Wellington High School. Gail went on to attend Missouri Valley College on theatre and softball scholarships, majoring in criminal justice. She was employed as Area Director for Rent-A-Center, later serving as Vice President of a financial institution and then for the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
Gail loved to play softball and baseball. She was an animal lover and was an avid football fan, both college and professional.
Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Beyer, and father, David Elgin.
She is survived by her dad, David Beyer, of Warsaw, a daughter, Elora Dockter, of Independence, Missouri, sister, Cindy Parkes, of Blue Springs, Missouri, brother, Phillip Elgin (Lisa) of Caledonia, Mississippi. Gail is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Garen Parkes (Joey), Chase Elgin (Jessie), Tori Beth Elgin, Layne Edmondson (Braxton), Tori Cooper, Peyton Cooper, Mason Parkes, and Charlotte Parkes. She is also survived by a special aunt, Gladys Bratton, bonus children Chris and Cody Daniels, and many first cousins who all hold a special place in Gail’s heart.
Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
