Harold G. “Mac” McGinnis, age 78, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on April 29, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri the son of Harold and Flo McGinnis. He grew up for a short time in Springfield later moving to Kansas City Kansas where he graduated from Wyandotte High School. Mac worked on the assembly line for Owens Corning, retiring permanently to Warsaw after thirty-five years of employment. Mac enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and both NASCAR and drag racing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Ron McGinnis and his grandson Joseph.
Mac is survived by his wife Eileen McGinnis, of the home, five children; Kevin Ricketts, of Biloxi, Mississippi, Kelly McGinnis, of Kansas City, Kansas, Jimmy Howell (Jody), of Belton, Missouri, Phyllis Hartegan, of Kansas City, Kansas and Kerry Honeycutt (Eddie), of Warsaw, Missouri, fourteen grandchildren; Josh, Johnathan, Jessie, Jacob, Jonah, Jedediah, Jaren, Jessee James, Elizabeth, Eddie, Dustin, Brianna and Beau and three great grandchildren; Ryder, Cruse and Theo.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw.
