Harold Lee Jackson, age 91, of Springfield MO, formerly of Warsaw, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025 at his home. He was born on October 3, 1933 in Lincoln, Missouri the son of Otho Jackson, Sr. and Anna (Short) Jackson. He grew up in Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School.
Harold was united in marriage to Alpha Leewanda Thomas on January 19, 1952. They made their home in Kansas City, later moving to Independence, Missouri.
Harold was employed as a machinist and millwright for Growth Industries and eventually Armco Steel. He also was employed previously by National Aluminum and Brass, Western Auto, Allis-Chalmers and Sears & Roebuck. Harold retired in 1995, bought a large tract of rural lakefront property, built a house, and fulfilled his sportsman dream of hunting and fishing for himself and his children and grandchildren.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Alpha Leewanda Jackson, two brothers; Otho Jackson, Jr ("Junior") and Norman Jackson, a sister; Maxine Rank, and his later wife; Dorothy Jackson.
Harold is survived by four children; Harold Dwaine Jackson (Jody), of Springfield, Missouri, Dwight Stacy Jackson, of Independence, Missouri, Kevin “Dan” Jackson (Joy), of Blue Springs, Missouri and Darrin Lee Jackson (Paula), of Blue Springs, Missouri, two sisters; Louese Bistline, of Lincoln, Missouri and Doris Humphrey, of Independence, Missouri, nine grandchildren; Jessica Niland (Mike), Cassandra Erin Jackson, Brian James Fishback (Rachel), Hannah Grace Jackson, Mallory Breanne Bly (Ryan), Casey Daniel Jackson, Corey Lucas Jackson (Melinda), Jacob Lee Jackson and Anna Jackson and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Harold L. Jackson will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri, with Pastor Rex Green officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow the funeral at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln.
