Have I Got A Line For You!

Lot’s going on as we get closer to Election Day. A union affiliated with the IRS endorsed Kamala Harris. We keep getting farther and farther from what our founders intended. They rebelled against England because of high taxes and now an IRS Union. UNBELIEVABLE! If the IRS, FBI, Wall Street, Iran, Putin, Military Industrial Complex, New York Times, and Dick Cheney want one candidate to win, then I’d vote for the other. How about a Flat Tax to eliminate the biggest legal crime syndicate in the country?

Jill Biden led the first cabinet meeting held since 2023. I’m past blaming President Biden. I watched my grandmother Murphy suffer from dementia and feel compassion for Joe. There is something called elder abuse and we’re watching it happen. Someone is running our country. If it’s not President Biden or Vice-President Kamala Harris, who is it? Inquiring minds would like to know. This entire fiasco reminds me of the old Soviet Politburo. Over 14 million primary voters went for Biden, ZERO for Harris. Why wasn’t there another primary?

A great nephew turned two on Saturday and family members gathered at sister Julie’s home. Conversation drifted to a book Grandpa White wrote called “Farmin In The Woods.” Many residents may not realize it, but this area was a big corn liquor producer during prohibition. While some of it was awful, there were a few operators who took pride in their work and their whiskey was in demand. Much of it ended up in Kansas speakeasies. Most of the corn was produced in Fairfield. Many distillers claimed the river water gave the whiskey a smooth taste. They may have been right, because it didn’t have anything to do with the way it was aged. The market was too brisk to fool around for niceties like that.

I watched a documentary about Mars last night and the mysterious female shaped figure spotted in the Arabia Terra region by a NASA camera. Who knows, maybe it’s a statue from a civilization that existed before the red planet burned out. Or, perhaps when we pass on, we can travel anywhere. There’s bound to be lots for us to see and do on the next go around. Maybe that picture is someone’s long ago relative checking out a new planet.

Take care Old Buddy and don’t ruin a good day by thinking about a bad yesterday. Best to just let it go.
