HC SWCD Recognizes 2025 Outstanding Conservation Farmer

The Henry County Soil and Water Conservation District’s (SWCD) Outstanding Conservation Farmer for 2025 was announced at the SWCD Open house breakfast on March 6, this year the award went to Bryan Dehn. His farming operation is located northeast of Clinton.
Bryan has held a conservation plan with the SWCD since 1994. He has completed several conservation projects through the years including: 3.3 acres of CRP buffers, 1.8 acres of grassed waterways in 2012 and 4.6 acres of waterways in 2024.
Bryan graduated from Clinton High School. He is married to Melinda (Huey) Dehn. She is the owner of Huey’s Deluxe Catering.
They have two daughters. Laurel Rittman and Adriane Dehn. Laurel lives on a farm outside of Knob Noster with her husband Sam and their 2 children Aubree, 13, and David, 19 months. She is an occupational Therapist at GVMH. Adriane works for Bayer as a Climate Enablement Manager at Fieldview. She lives in Clinton and helps on the farm when she can.
Bryan is member of First Presbyterian Church in Clinton and also a member of Clinton Elks Lodge #1034.
Bryan is a 5th generation farmer. He started farming full time right after high school. Their operation consists of row crop; including corn and soybeans and background feeding heifers.
Bryan has always been great to work with on Conservation Practices.
