Highlighting The June IU Of The PEO Meeting

Posted

The Chapter IU meeting was filled with good news, with 22 sisters in attendance despite summer vacation. The highlights were the decorations by Melissa Swaters and Lisa Wallace and the delicious lemon cake.
Five members attended P.E.O Day at Arrowrock and enjoyed the musical 42nd Street. Deb Mills attended the State Convention in Columbia last weekend and will give a full report at the next meeting on July 11th.
Members have received the yearbooks for the 2025-2026 academic year, and they are currently being distributed. If you have not yet received yours, it will be delivered to you soon. New Daisy Groups are being formed based on shared interests within the chapter, including a biking group and a reading group.
Susie Wetzel is coordinating the chapter’s sponsorship of a suite at Cottey College in the fall. Our chapter received the Radiant Chapter Award and achieved angel chapter status.
Allison Schilling gave a presentation on the history of the Missouri P.E.O. Outreach Fund, and Eunice Wright discussed the International Peace Scholarship Fund.
Also as a reminder the Henry County Fair is coming up please think about entering items in the fair on July 15th. We hope to see everyone at our meeting next month on July 11th.
