Posted

Kathy (Miller) Creasy, age 93, of Warsaw, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kathy was born on November 29, 1932, in Buffalo, Missouri, the daughter of Oren and Chloe (Nunn) Miller. She grew up in Buffalo, where she met the love of her life, Gordon Creasy. The couple was united in marriage on August 14, 1950. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Deborah.

Kathy and Gordon began their married life in Warsaw before moving to Ventura, California. While in California, Kathy worked as an assistant manager for Lerner’s Dress Shop. When Gordon entered the service, Kathy returned to Warsaw and began working in the office at Bishop Gunstocks. After Gordon’s return from the Army, the family moved to Clinton, where their daughter Debbie was born. Following several years in Clinton, they returned to Warsaw, which would remain their lifelong home.

It was in Warsaw that Kathy discovered her passion for cosmetology. She became a beautician, a career she devoted herself to until the age of 74. Kathy formed many lasting friendships through her work and was known not only for her skill, but for the warmth and kindness she shared with her clients.

Kathy lived an active and vibrant life. She enjoyed playing tennis and earned first place in several area mixed doubles events. In the early 1990s, when Shawnee Bend Golf Course opened, she took up golf. Though she often joked that she was never very good, she loved the game and the friendships it brought her. In 2009, the course honored her with a lifetime membership.

Her faith was central to her life. Kathy was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Warsaw, where she participated in Bible studies and church activities. She and her daughter Deborah helped with the move into the church’s new building and were active in the church community, including supporting Debbie’s involvement in choir and school activities. Kathy also served as a classroom mother and played an instrumental role in helping the local high school levy pass, receiving a letter of appreciation in 1968 for her dedication and service.

Kathy loved life, her family, her community, and her Lord and Savior. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, her determination, and her deep and abiding faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Creasy, and two nephews, Steve and Lynn Creasy.

Kathy is survived by her daughter, Deborah Creasy of Warsaw; two nephews, Dr. Ronald Strickland and Blaine Miller; a niece, Jacquelyn Strickland; and a great-nephew, Lyle Strickland.

Kathy’s life was a testament to love, service, and faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Warsaw.
