Lady Bluebirds Rip Off Three Wins In Busy Week

On Monday, April 15, the Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds dispatched Osceola at home, 10-0 in 5 innings. Emma Thayer threw 65 pitches with 44 strikes, with 6 strikeouts, 2 hits and 1 walk in gaining the sweet victory.

They scored according to what inning they were in as they tallied 1 in the first, 2 in the second, 3 in the third and 4 in the fourth on 6 hits and 10 walks. Each team made just 1 an error.

Cole Camp's senior defensive ace Gracie Thompson made a couple of nice catches in center field in preserving the shut out for Thayer and the Lady Bluebirds.
Brooklin Roberts no-hit the Lady Bluebirds for 2 innings while walking 7. Kylee Guerin came in relief and surrendered 6 hits and walked 3.

The only negative for Cole Camp was being tagged out at home trying to score on passed balls twice in the contest.

On Tuesday, they traveled to Smithton and walloped the Lady Tigers 21-1 in 3 innings.

Emma Thayer pitched 2 innings of 1-hit ball, striking out 4 and walking 0. Grace Harms pitched the third giving up a run on 1 hit and 1 walk. Cole Camp made 4 errors while Smithton struggled with 17 miscues.

In the first, Taylor Loganbill grounded out, scoring a run, Riley Raetz singled scoring a run, Kaitlyn Whitworth single driving in a run as did Gracie Thompson. Leah Lemons homered to left in the first scoring 2 runs.

Cole Camp scored 7 runs on 4 hits in the second with Raetz, Whitworth, Lemans getting RBI's, Loganbill single scoring 2 runs and 2 errors scored 2 more runs.
The third inning brought more trouble for Smithton as Marilyn Hesse tripled, driving in a run, Thompson doubled driving in a runner, Thayer doubled in 2 more runs and a dropped third strike and an error scored 2 more.

On Thursday, a date with Skyline at home was rained out with the storm moving in an hour or so before game time.

On Friday, Cole Camp defeated Green Ridge 12-6 at home to move to 8-4 on the season.
