On Saturday, the Lincoln Lady Cardinals lost 40-30 to Concordia at the W-K Holiday Shootout held at State Fair Community College in Sedalia.
Lincoln fell behind, 13-6 after one and never could recover. It was 19-12 at the half and 37-23 after three.
The bright spot for Lincoln was freshman Lily Mellen, who had 16 to lead the Lady Cardinals. However, her sister, senior Alyssa Mellen, was held in check with just four points. The other huge factor was that Lincoln only had four girls in the scoring column.
Olivia Hemme had 17 for Concordia to lead all scorers.
Lincoln fell to 5-5 and Concordia moved to 4-2.
