After trailing at the half, Warsaw used an early second half run to claim their first lead and then held on down the stretch to win at Stockton on Thursday night, 49-44. The win, the Ladycats ninth of the season, matches their win total from last season with at least 9 regular season games still remaining on the schedule.
Warsaw found themselves down once again at the end of the first quarter, 14-10, but then found some life in the second period and used a 15-12 margin to narrow their halftime deficit to just 26-25.
The Ladycats got a couple of big three's in the third quarter from Keira Mostaffa and Tanna Howe and then went 4-for-4 from the line while Stockton went just 2-for-10 from the charity stripe in the quarter as Warsaw led 37-35.
A good, clean fourth quarter for the Ladycats and going 4-for-6 from the line helped lead them to the 49-44 comeback win. Stockton managed to sink just 1-of-8 free throw's in the fourth.
Mostaffa and Howe led the scoring for the Ladycats with 17 and 11.
