Ladycats Return To District Championship After Cruising Past Pleasant Hope, Eldo

Brylee Brewster was once again dominant in the circle, as the senior pitcher rang up 14 strikeouts in Warsaw's 10-0 victory over Pleasant Hope on Saturday afternoon in a Class 2 District 7 quarterfinal matchup. Brewster recorded her seventh no-hitter of the season, and gave up zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking none.

The Ladycats opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles off bats of Brewster and Elizabeth Winters to make the score 3-0.

Warsaw added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Brylee Brewster tripled to left field, and Emmersyn Miskell grounded out to make it 5-0.

Kyra Keeling took the loss for Pleasant Hope. The right-handed pitcher went four and two-thirds innings, giving up 10 runs on nine hits, struck out one and walked nine.

Maylee Slavens, Sara Miller, Brewster, and Haylee Cobb each collected two hits for Warsaw. Winters and Cobb each drove in two runs for the Ladycats.

Braylee Cunningham aided the Warsaw offense with three walks.

Brylee Brewster threw an immaculate inning in the fifth, striking out the side on nine pitches.

Brylee Brewster struck out 12 batters on Monday as she led Warsaw past Eldorado Springs, 5-1 on Monday. Brewster allowed four hits and one run over seven innings and walked one.

The Ladycats got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Haylee Cobb singled to score a run, Emmersyn Miskell drew a walk to push in one run, and a passed ball scored one run.

Lacyn Perrodin took the loss for Eldorado Springs. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits, struck out seven and walked four.

Cobb drove the middle of the lineup, leading Warsaw with two RBI's. The number three hitter went 1 for 4 on the day.

Adison Sherrill, Elizabeth Winters, Sara Miller, Brewster, Cobb, and Braylee Cunningham each collected one hit for Warsaw.

Lily Taylor went 1 for 3 at the plate and led the Lady Bulldogs with one run batted in. Taylor, Abbie Goulardt, Brooke Coale, and Tayah Garringer each collected one hit for Eldorado Springs.

The win propelled Warsaw (20-2) into the Class 2 District 7 championship game on Tuesday night where they were scheduled to take on Skyline.
