In their first game of the season on Friday, Warsaw got off to a little bit of a slow start, falling behind 8-6 at the end of the opening period, but then used a 28-1 run in the second quarter to close out the first half and take a comfortable 34-9 lead at halftime.
A 24-6 advantage stretched the Ladycats lead to 58-15 after three quarters before cruising to a 63-17 final over the visiting Hermitage Lady Hornets.
Tanna Howe paced Warsaw with 21 points while Keira Mostaffa was also in double figures with 13.
The Ladycats will be off throughout Thanksgiving week. Their next contest will be in the 37th Annual Warsaw Invitational Basketball Tournament next week, December 2-7 (see brackets on page 5).
