The adage may seem monotonous to many, but for Ladycats softball fans, "the season continues to roll along" as they reeled off five more wins in the last week, improving their overall season record to an astounding 21-1.

Last Tuesday at Eldorado Springs, Warsaw freshmen Elizabeth Winters and Mady Reimund both drove in 3 runs and Haylee Cobb hit her second homerun of the year, a 3-run bomb in the fourth inning as the Ladycats routed Eldorado Springs, 14-3.

Mady Reimund led the Warsaw offense with 3 hits in as many trips to the plate. Adison Sherrill, Tanna Howe, Brylee Brewster, Winters and Maylee Slavens all picked up 2 hits on the night.

Brewster also got the win in the circle. She allowed 4 runs on 3 hits and struck out 8 thru 6 innings.

On Friday, Warsaw traveled to the Adrian Tournament and, after the schedule was altered due to rain the day before, the Ladycats fought through their first adversity in several weeks to still bring home 3 more wins.

In their first game of the day facing Lamar, the Ladycats had to overcome a late inning deficit to defeat the Lady Tigers with a 9-7 final.

With the Warsaw lead at 4-1 after 2 innings, Lamar plated 6 runs in the third inning to take a 7-4 lead after three. The Lady Tigers wend 1-2-3 in the top of the fourth and Warsaw staged a 2-out rally, scoring 5 in the bottom of the frame to surge back ahead for the 9-7 lead. Haylee Cobb started things with a single;

Adison Sherrill, Tanna Howe and Brylee Brewster all doubled and Jaylen McCullick singled. Elizabeth Winters scored the last 2 runs of the inning when she reached on an error as the Ladycats stole the 9-7 win.

McCullick paced Warsaw with 3 hits while Cobb, Howe and Brewster all added 2.

Brewster also got the win in relief of starter Bri Fellers.

In a flare for the dramatic, it came down to the wire for the Ladycats in their second game of the day.

With the game tied at 1-1 thru five innings, it took a walk-off double off the bat of Elizabeth Winters to score Bri Fellers as Warsaw narrowly escaped with a 2-1 win over Lone Jack.

The Ladycats offense was held in check as many well hit balls were tracked down by the defense of the Lady Mules.

Winters led Warsaw with 2 hits while just 1 apiece were contributed by Haylee Cobb, Brylee Brewster and Sara Miller.

Brewster went the 6 inning distance for the win. She gave up just 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 13.

In their last game of the day, Elizabeth Winters went a perfect 3 for 3 as Warsaw handily defeated the host Lady Blackhawks, 10-0.

Adison Sherrill, Tanna Howe and Brylee Brewster all tacked on 2 hits apiece for the Ladycats as they picked up win #20.

Brewster also got the win in this one as she went 5 innings and allowed 0 runs on 2 hits and struck out 8.
