Tipton's Tyler Baer scored on a passed ball from third in the fourth inning in a 1-0 victory for Tipton over Lincoln in sectional play on Monday night in Lincoln.
Lincoln's Connor Lynde and Tipton's Lucas Cashman hooked up in a pitcher's duel as both pitched complete games. Lynde went six and gave up three hits, struck out 13 and walked two. Cashman went the full seven as the home team on the score board.  He struck out seven, including the side in the sixth and walked just one.
Lincoln head coach Will Lynde said, "We had our opportunities but couldn't get the key hit.  I told these freshmen that they will walk into the gym in thirty years and see the district championship on the wall and know they were part of something special. We were 17-11 with some quality wins and they have nothing to hold their heads down about."
The Lincoln defense made no errors while Tipton had two miscues.
Lincoln's catcher Zaden Cole threw out a runner trying to steal third in Lincoln's defensive play of the game.
