The LaMonte Vikings, coached by Scott Floyd, former coach of Warsaw, with just one win on the season, lost to the undefeated Lincoln Cardinals on the road 61-30 last Tuesday night.
However, LaMonte who lost to Cole Camp 52-6 a couple of weeks ago looked improved and have an upcoming star in junior Tyler Weber. Weber sat out most of the Cole Camp contest.
Weber scored 12 points and blocked several shots against the Cardinals, who struggled early but quickly found their game and took LaMonte to task.
Lincoln just had too much fire power and jumped out to a 17-7 first quarter lead and led 40-15 at halftime.
Lincoln coach Tyler Burke subbed his JV players in and led 59-24 after three.
