What difference a year can make as the Lincoln boys basketball team is healthy this season, and with a deep bench, to boot.

On Saturday, December 28, the boys in red traveled to State Fair Community College in Sedalia for a 56-24 romp over Concordia as part of the W-K Holiday Shootout.

Riley Sanders, coming off an injury that plagued him all summer, led the Cardinals with 15 points in the game as Lincoln jumped out to a 15-8 first period lead and led 29-15 at the half.

Cardinals head coach Tyler Burke prides his team on defense and saw his team put the game out of reach in the third quarter with a 21-7 burst to lead 49-21.

Burke unloaded his bench throughout the contest and overwhelmed Concordia in the second half.

Lincoln had ten players in the scoring column for the contest compared to just four for Concordia.

The fourth period was low scoring with a 6-2 advantage for the Lincoln faithful.

Lincoln is now 8-1 and Concordia fell to 4-4 on the season.
