Linda Mae Brady, 79, was born in Mason City, lA. Having attended younger grades in lA, she and her parents Lena and Louis Brady, moved to Kansas City, MO area, where she found employment during and after high school. Her first job at 15 was serving as a formal usher, escorting people to their seat, in the Midland Theatre. Later she had sewn Jeans for the Levi Strauss Company. At this point of her life, Linda M. Brady enlisted in the United States Army as a WAC (Women's Army Corp.) Medic. She served during the Vietnam War, treating burn victims at the base in San Francisco, CA.

Later, Linda served as a radiology technician, worked as a line inspector for Kenworth Semi-trucks, and made ammunition at the Lake City Plant in the Kansas City area. Every Job and location brought about new interests. Deciding to attend the University of Kansas, Linda received her Bachelor of Science in Medical Records Administration, which led her into an administrative career in Hastings, NE at the State Hospital. Being one of her favorite Jobs, she later relocated to Texas A&M University to complete an MA in Counseling, which led her to Nome, Alaska, where she worked as a psycho-therapist working with indigenous people of the area. Throughout her life she used these talents to help others, doing private counseling sessions. Brady, as an adult, chose to be confirmed at St. Stephen Martyr Lutheran Church in Canton, Ohio.

Traveling from one section of the country to another, one of her favorite parts of the United States was the Southwest area, where she studied the cultures, the people, the landscape, and the wildlife there. She learned to love art and continued to collect and display art from this area, as well as other places she lived. Since 1995, Linda Brady had been a property owner in Benton County, living off the lake. She made many lifelong friends. In 2021, she and her Sister-in-Christ, Deb Hickman, moved to Tellico Village in Loudon, TN.

While in Warsaw, she attended and supported Faith Lutheran Church under the pastorage of Rev. Morris Meseke. Upon arriving in Tellico Village, both she and Deb became members of the Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, with Pastor Vickers as their present minister. Linda loved Jesus, and the United States of America. She never passed up an opportunity to share the greatness of both God and her patriotism to the U.S.A. Though unable to continue playing softball, golfing, walking, boating, water sports, or repairing engines, Linda loved her church and her church family in Loudon. She also loved the art shows and theater productions there. She had two pets, Sylvester, (the cat) and Teddy, (the dog). Teddy, a comfort dog, visited nursing homes to brings smiles and Joy to others. Though unable to take Teddy for his missions, she, (being hospitalized and finally in hospice in the home,) never tired of the stories Deb brought home to share.
On February 16'^ Linda Brady went to be with God in her Triumphant Heavenly Home. Pastor Vickers had visited that afternoon, giving her communion. She was ready for pain-free rest after her illness. Survivors include a half- sister Henriette Volk (Charles), Port Byron, IL and her Sister-in-Christ, Deb Hickman (of the home.)

A funeral service was held in Tellico Village at the Lutheran Church, on March 1, 2025. It was broadcast on YouTube from Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, Tellico Village, Loudon, TN., and is available for viewing still. Other memorial services will be held in areas where she had previously lived. One will be in Warsaw, MO, where Linda has remained a member of the American Legion, Post #0217.
