In an exciting development for the local education community, Seniors Clara Hyke and Timothy Neal were nominated by Clinton Christian Academy and have been selected to attend the inaugural Faith & Nation Student Forum, a highly prestigious event organized by the Herzog Foundation in collaboration with the Young America’s Foundation. Clara and Tim are two out of 35 individuals selected to attend this special event.
The event, scheduled to take place from November 3 to November 6 in Kansas City, is designed to engage top-ranked seniors from Christian schools and homeschool co-ops across the nation. The four-day retreat will offer students the chance to connect with distinguished speakers, participate in small group discussions, and engage in a series of enriching activities aimed at exploring the intersection of Biblical principles with contemporary social issues.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to deepen their understanding of how faith can inform public life and to interact with leaders in various fields,” said Becky Hyke, High School Principal from Clinton Christian Academy.
One of the unique aspects of the Faith & Nation Student Forum is its focus on integrating Christian values into conversations about today’s most pressing social issues. Students will not only engage in thoughtful discussions but will also be part of a vibrant community of like-minded individuals committed to making a positive impact on the world.
The Herzog Foundation will cover all expenses for the event, with the exception of round-trip travel to Kansas City. Additionally, one teacher from each school or co-op is required to accompany the students. This ensures that attendees have support and guidance as they embark on this transformative experience.
The selection is a significant achievement for both the students and the school community. Congratulations to Timothy Neal and Clara Hyke for their participation in this exciting and meaningful event.
