Posted

Lomialene “Lomie” Bertha Hall Spencer, age 97, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at Lincoln Community Care Center, in Lincoln, Missouri.

Lomie was born on October 5, 1928, in Kansas City, Kansas, the only child of Charles E. and Bertha Hall. She graduated from Argentine High School in 1946. In 1950, she was united in marriage to Raymond Spencer, and together they began a life of love and adventure, following military assignments that included a short stay in Germany.

Over the years, Lomie made homes for her family in Kansas City, Kansas; Flippin, Arkansas, where she proudly operated the small family grocery store, Spencer’s Grocery and eventually, in 1966, they settled in Warsaw, Missouri.

By then, she was raising three sons, born within just 33 months of one another a role she cherished and considered her greatest accomplishment. In addition to raising her boys, Lomie lovingly cared for many children in the community through babysitting. She held those children close to her heart and found joy in watching them grow into adulthood.

Lomie had a deep love for the Lord and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw, where she faithfully encouraged her sons to walk in faith as she did. She was also a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed playing pitch with family and friends whether at home gatherings or at the local Shriners Post and was an avid bingo player for many years. Known for her humor, confidence, and steadfast love, Lomie leaves behind a legacy of kindness and devotion to family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Spencer of Warsaw, and their three sons: Glenray & Lisa Spencer of High Ridge, Missouri; Brad & DeAnna Spencer of Warsaw, Missouri; Steven & Debbie Spencer of Warsaw, Missouri.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Emi & Justin McCloud of Cedar Hill, Missouri; Becky & Justin Simpher of Festus, Missouri; Ali & Robert Welch of Cedar Hill, Missouri; Scott & Rebecka Spencer of Edwards, Missouri; Erin & Nick Rountree of Bolivar, Missouri; Stevie & Ben Salmon of Bolivar, Missouri; Pierce & Cassie Spencer of Springfield, Missouri.

Her great-grandchildren include Haley McCloud, Gibson Simpher, Arya and Rowan Welch; Seth, Ben and Eli Spencer; Spencer, Harper & Finley Rountree; and Malakai, Spencer and Judah Salmon.

As a devoted wife, mother, and “Granny,” Lomie was known for her unwavering kindness and the love she poured into her family. We will miss her humor and confidence she instilled in all of us.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw on March 7 at 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made in Lomie’s memory to Lincoln Community Care Center, 205 Timberline Dr., Lincoln, MO 65338.
