Mary Catherine Villers, age 76, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born on January 31, 1949, in Wright County, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis and Ruth (Burch) Ussery. Mary grew up in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and later moved to Warsaw. On December 31, 1993, she was united in marriage to James E. Villers. Together, they made their home in Warsaw.

Mary enjoyed crocheting, bingo, and crafts of all kinds. She loved to read and especially enjoyed western and romance novels. Above all, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished the time she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dovie Bernice Jackson and Lula Moore; two brothers, Billy Ussery and Charlie Ussery; and a granddaughter, Brittany Vaughn.

Mary is survived by her husband, James E. “Jimmy” Villers, of the home; two sons, Vernon Robert Weiske and his wife Betty Jo of Quincy, Illinois, and DJ Weiske and his wife Paula of Warsaw; three sisters, Nettie Hunter of McCune, Kansas, Wanda Welker and her husband Terry of Bishop, Texas, and JoAnn Crewse of Norwood, Missouri; grandchildren Ashley Palmer, Katherine Weiske, Devin Weiske, Annie Mae Weiske, Johnathan McCabe, Justice McCabe, and Dennis Weiske; numerous great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street in Warsaw.
