Maxine Louallen

Maxine Louallen, 82, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on May 20, 2025.

She was born on March 16, 1942, in Lamesa, Texas, to Joe and Dorothy Pounds. On August 10, 1963, she married the love of her life, Bobby Louallen. Together, they raised two sons, Stephen and Michael. In August 1972, the family relocated to Missouri, where Maxine would spend the remainder of her life serving others with joy and devotion.

Maxine was a faithful servant of the Lord, dedicating her life to her church and community. She was active in ladies’ meetings, outreach ministries, Vacation Bible School, and many other roles within the church. Her desire to serve was evident in everything she did, from preparing meals and picking up groceries for neighbors to helping people with transportation needs. She also served her civic community by volunteering at the local polling location in Edwards.

Maxine worked for several years at Sears in Warsaw and was also a devoted housewife and farm hand. Her infectious laugh and ever-present smile lit up every room and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Louallen; her sons, Stephen Louallen and Michael Louallen; her grandchildren, Levi Louallen, Courtney Tapken, Layne Louallen, Bailey Louallen, and Hope Louallen; and her great-grandchildren, Sophia Louallen, Ryleigh Louallen, and Remington Louallen.

A celebration of Maxine’s life will be held on June 6 at 12:00 p.m. at the Louallen family farm, located at 33203 SSR-DD, Edwards, MO 65326. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

Maxine Louallen will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness, service, and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
