Meetings Scheduled To Discuss Improvements To Highway 65

Two in-person public meetings are planned to discuss US Highway 65 corridor improvements between Warsaw and Buffalo, Missouri.

Public meeting #1 will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 17 at the Buffalo High School cafeteria, 500 West Main Street in Buffalo.

Public Meeting #2 will be held from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 24 at the Harry S. Truman Visitor Center at 29027 Visitor Center Road in Warsaw.

There are three separate projects to be discussed. The JSR0089 project includes the following improvements along US 65, one passing lane is planned between Route 64 and Route D in Urbana, roundabout improvements at the intersections of Route 73 and Truman Road. The JST0093 project includes passing lanes along US 65 between Warsaw and Buffalo. JSR0109 includes roundabout improvements at the intersection of US 65 and Route 7. The proposed improvements for the three above-mentioned projects have been developed to begin the process of public engagement and are in the preliminary design phase.

The process for right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to begin later this year. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in Winter 2028 beginning with the passing lanes, Fall 2029 for the roundabouts with tentative completion date in 2030.
