Paranormal Enthusiasts Will Have Rare Opportunity At Bellview Hotel

The head librarian at the Cole Camp Boonslick Library, Greg Burel, has an addiction to celebrating Halloween and this season is he’s surpassed even his talents.

Burel has had the tradition for some time of conducting a writing contest of spooky stories centered around the Cole Camp area. He has three categories, 18 years+ and this year’s winner in that division is Jeff Lutjen. Ages 12-18 was won by Anders Cooper and last, but certainly not least is the 5-11 age group with August Poppen winning that one.

On Friday evening, October 18 at 6 p.m. in the Library there will be “Tales by Twilight,” featuring these winning entries. Read either by the author or someone they choose to showcase their spellbinding sagas.

On Saturday, October 19 at 7 p.m., in the Library, interested persons will gather for a “Ghost investigation.” A group of paranormal investigators from Sedalia are planning an exciting and interesting evening in Cole Camp.

As previously stated, it will begin at the Boonslick Library on Main Street. Britt Faaborg, a former Cole Camp resident, will present a lecture about paranormal investigations.

Participants will then have an exclusive opportunity to join in on an actual ghost hunt in the historic Bellview Hotel on south Maple Street.
