With the first round of districts on Thursday moved to Sedalia because of a muddy field in Lincoln, the Lady Cardinals defeated Osceola, 17-0.
Lincoln scored nine runs in the second inning. Skyler Arbuckle singled to score two runs, Leah Crowder enticed Danika Gillespie to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, Alyssa Mellen singled and scored two runs, a steal of home scored one run, Katy Cook drew a walk to score one run, Braylin Paxton tripled in one run, and an error scored another.
Lincoln jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Rebekah Helland doubled in a run, an error scored two runs, an error scored one run, Molly Strozewski singled in a run, and Cadence Harvey doubled to score three runs.
Lincoln's ace, Braylin Paxton earned the win. The senior pitcher pitched a perfect game. She allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, struck out six and walked none.
Leah Crowder took the loss for Osceola. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, surrendered 17 runs (eight earned) on nine hits, struck out none and walked six.
Cadence Harvey led Lincoln with three runs batted in.
Lincoln is now 20-3.
