Rain Didn't Dampen Jubilee From Being A Joyous Success

Even a short rain shower couldn’t keep people away from the 56th Annual Jubilee Days festivities this past weekend.
Jubilee Days started with the Baby Contest on Wednesday night.  
Aspen Ethridge, daughter of Mariah Ethridge and Ricky Schroer, was crowned as the Jubilee Days Baby Girl.
William Longworth, son of Autumn Longworth, was crowned as the Jubilee Days Baby Boy.
Other winners included:   Boys (0-6 months) 1st place, Michael Cleveland Abney, son of Danelle Thompson-Abney and Ryan Abney; 2nd place, Ryker Burns, son of Kristen Jones; 3rd place, Sylas Wilcox-Cawood, son of Taylor Wilcox.
Girls (0-6 months) 1st place, Aspen Ethridge, daughter of Mariah Ethridge and Ricky Schroer; 2nd place, Alana Jofay Bryce-Weter, daughter of Candace Weter; 3rd place, Stella Adams, daughter of Chelsey Kendrick.
Boys (7-12 months) 1st place, Gus Salley, son of Shaina Salley; 2nd place, Everett Williams, son of Justin and Ganelle Williams; 3rd place, Lane Rogers, son of Trent and Leah Rogers.
Girls (7-12 months) 1st place, Alice Kehler, daughter of Isaiah Kehler; 2nd place, Lorelei Case, daughter of Crystal Case; 3rd place, Jolene Bernal, daughter of Holly Bernal.
Boys (19-24 months) 1st place, William Longworth, son of Autumn Longworth; 2nd place, Augustus Lutman, son of Joslyn Cunningham; 3rd place, Dean Cave, son of Crystal Cave.
Girls (19-24 months) 1st place, Maggie Casteel, daughter of Chelsea Casteel; 2nd place, Beverly Brooks, daughter of Oma Brooks; 3rd place, Gentire Williams, daughter of Ganelle Williams.
The Jubilee Days Queen and Princess contests were held on Thursday in the Warsaw Community Building.
Angela Konapasek was crowned as the 56th Warsaw Jubilee Days Queen.  1st runner-up was Alysia Yoder and 2nd runner-up was Lilia Jensen.  Talent winner was Lilia Jensen.  Most Photogenic was Breanna Burriss.  Jovi Robertson won the Sash Award as well as Miss Congeniality.  Alysia Yoder won Best Dress.
Cecilia Shinn was crowned as the 2023 Jubilee Days Princess.  1st runner-up was Brianna Fellers and 2nd runner-up was Riley Nevius.  Talent winner, photogenic winner and Sash winner was Riley Nevius.  Jennifer Murdock was the Interview winner.  Brianna Fellers won Best Dress. Cecilia Shinn also won Miss Congeniality.
During the Queen and Princess contest, Jubilee Days Chairman Chuck Allcorn presented the John Wiest Award to Kelli Daleske for her years of work on the Jubilee Days Car/Truck/Bike Show as well as her work with the Benton County Health Department.
"I can't imagine living anywhere but Warsaw," said Daleske.  "This is a wonderful town."
On Friday night the Junior Miss and Little Miss contests were held.
Hayden Sutherland was crowned as the Jubilee Days Junior Miss.  1st runner-up was Bailey Steenburgen and 2nd runner-up was Grace Long.  Bell Flutey won Top Interview.  Lainey Burnham won Junior Miss Photogenic.  Bailey Steenburgen was the Talent, Sash and Best Dress winner.  Micha Newell was Little Miss Personality.
Lenox Brown was crowned as the Jubilee Days Little Miss.  1st runner-up was Haven Hinkle and 2nd runner-up was Joselyn Brookshire.  Lenox Brown was also the Interview winner.  Haven Hinkle won the Talent and Dress competition. Lillian Danner was Little Miss Personality.  The Sash winner was Josie Parker.
Prior to the parade on Saturday morning, the traditional turtle races were held on Main Street.

After the parade, the Jubilee Days Bike, Car and Truck Show was held.  Winners included:  Best of Show Car/Truck, Danny Nunamaker from Versailles, MO, 1928 Ford Model A Roadster Pick-up.
Best of Show Motorcycle, Jimmy Wooton from Garden City, MO, 2004 Harley Davidson Chopper.
Jubilee Days Choice, Don Hall from Versailles, MO, 1941 Chevrolet Cabriolet.

In the Men's Leg Competition, awards went to: Overall Best Leg, Larry Elam; Most Muscular, Larry Elam; Hairiest legs, Lucas Kaneko; Tannest leg; Micheal Lane; and Whitest Legs, Jacob Gibson.
Jubilee Days Karaoke contest winners included:  Caitlyn Chewning, 1st place; Ryan Abney, 2nd place; Morris Wigfall, 3rd place; Jeffrey Bales, Judges Choice and End Zone Bar in Sedalia was the winning venue.
"Jubilee Days was a complete success," said Jubilee Chairman Chuck Allcorn.  "The rain delayed the concert on Saturday night, but the band said they came to play so they played and performed a great show.  I want to thank all the wonderful volunteers who came out and supported our home town.  See those veterans riding in the side by sides down Main Street was inspiring.  Thanks Warsaw for all your support."
