Ramona Jean “Mona” Henderson, 78, of Warsaw, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital East in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
She was born May 21, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph and Sylvia Krische. Mona grew up in Wichita, where she graduated from high school. On November 12, 1966, she was united in marriage to Tom Henderson in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1970, the couple moved to Warsaw, where they made their lifelong home.
Mona worked as a legal assistant in Warsaw and later for the Benton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she retired in 2006.
She enjoyed playing cards, making jewelry, traveling, and was an active member of the Cowboy Action Shooting Club.
Mona was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Helen Dee.
She is survived by her two sons, David Henderson (Lisa) of Osawatomie, Kansas, and Kevin Henderson (Ginger) of Raymore, Missouri; two grandchildren, Logan and Addison Henderson of Raymore; as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Warsaw. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the Mass at Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.
