Raymond Wayne Hoeppner, age 84, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.
Wayne was born on April 30, 1941, in Lexington, Missouri, the son of Albert Henry Hoeppner and Alva Oneida (Woodruff) Hoeppner. He was raised in Mayview, Missouri, where he graduated from Mayview High School in 1960. On May 28, 1961, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Goers, in their hometown of Mayview.
Wayne worked for General Motors in Kansas City for an impressive thirty-seven years, a career marked by dedication and hard work.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Dorothy Hoeppner; three children: Mike Hoeppner of Mayview, Missouri; Pam (Andy) Workinger of Red Lion, Pennsylvania; and Doug Hoeppner of Independence, Missouri; eight grandchildren: Todd (Ashley) Hoeppner of Mayview, Missouri; Evan (Ashley) Hoeppner of Higginsville, Missouri; Tim Simpson of Dover, Pennsylvania; Justin Simpson (Jessica) of Red Lion, Pennsylvania; Paige Workinger of Red Lion, Pennsylvania; and Kaleigh Workinger of Wayne, Pennsylvania; Brandon (Kaitlynn) Hoeppner of Wellington, Missouri; Hannah Hoeppner of Scottsdale, Arizona. 6 Great grandchildren. One brother Allen Hoeppner and one sister Norma Mittlehouser of Mayview, Missouri.
Wayne will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to his family, his integrity, and the legacy he leaves behind in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Zion United Church of Christ in Mayview, Missouri. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior from 10:30 until 11:00. Arrangements are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
Memorial contributions will be directed to the Mayview Foundation, with funds specifically allocated to the preservation and support of the historic Mayview School.
