Posted

Robbie C Provance (Hippie Robbie) 71, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday July 11, 2026.
He was born on March 28, 1955 to Gil and Lorraine Provance in Rock Island, Illinois.

Early in life Robbie discovered a love of all things mechanical; from weed whackers to Boeing 747s, he worked on them all. His favorites were the old muscle cars, and motorcycles of all kinds.

His careers throughout his life focused on this calling. He was a mechanic and bodyman for Scotty's Carriage Works in Cameron, Missouri, and later worked as a Lead Mechanic and Crew Chief for Northwest Airlines in Minneapolis.

Some of his many other passions included music, photography, building and flying remote control airplanes, and doting on his many dogs past and present.

He was an Army Veteran who loved his country and was honored to have served. One of his proudest achievements was the fact that he was able to travel to Washington D.C. and participate in the January 6th 2021 gathering.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joy, his son Rustin Provance (Amber) of Wisconsin, daughter Robin Provance of Minnesota, stepdaughters Caitlin Simenson of Minnesota, and Jamie Pray (Dan) of Florida. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Landon, Lincoln, Logan, Lucas, and Emily Pray of Florida, and Cordelia, Gennavieve, Emery, Maggie, and Addilyn Provance of Wisconsin, along with many other friends and relatives who will miss him greatly, including his devoted dog Sam.

Graveside military honors will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw at 11 o'clock on Tuesday August 18th, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Warsaw Fire Hall.

Memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter, or there will also be a basket at the Celebration of Life with all donations going to the Sedalia Missouri Animal Shelter.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Warsaw, Missouri.
