Sandra Jo Crane of Deepwater, Missouri passed away on January 10th, 2026 at the age of 70, surrounded by her loved ones. A beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be remembered for her unconditional love and willingness to serve.
Sandy was born on June 9th, 1955 in El Paso, Texas to Mary Jernigan. She was blessed to have three fathers: her birth father, Weldon Howell; her adopted father, Paul Bradley; and her “Pops”, Billy Hannon; and five siblings: Debbie, Karen, Sharon, Paul and Danuela.
Sandy married Harold “Eddie” White in 1973. They met at Rabbs Creek Baptist church and together welcomed their daughter, Sherry. They lived several years in Minot, ND, then moved back to Oklahoma before being stationed at Whiteman AFB in Missouri. Together, they enjoyed many adventures at the lake, including camping and fishing.
Sandy completed schooling to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and found her passion in service to others. While at work, she would wear scrubs with different characters on them to make her patients smile.
Sandy married William “Bill” Ware in 1993 and opened her heart to two additional children, Chad and Wendy. Sandy and Bill shared many memories together. Her favorite of these were days spent by the pool with her family and having all of the grandkids over. Together, they joined St. Ann’s Catholic Church and attended until Bill’s death in 2013.
At a Thursday night “Taco Tuesday,” Sandy met Terrance “Terry” Crane. They became best friends and that friendship developed into a loving marriage in 2014. They made their home in Deepwater, MO, where she embraced three additional children: Terrence Jr, Tiffany, and Jason. Not long after their marriage, the adventures began. Sandy and Terry rode their motorcycles together all over God’s country and made many memories riding with their families and friends. They rode with the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association and sometimes the American Legion. She was a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary, the Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Club, and the Community Emergency Response Team.
Throughout her life, Sandy came across many people: family, partners, and friends, all of whom she cherished. She lived by the saying “blood doesn’t define family.” To Sandy, it did not matter if you were related or not, she treated everyone like they were family – with compassion, kindness, and love.
Sandy is survived by her former husband Harold White, her children Sherry (Paul), Wendy (Keith), Chad (Laurie), Terrence (Dee), Tiffany (Mark), and Jason (Jennifer); her many grandchildren, Sarah (Kavi), James, Macy (Derek), Emma, Michael (Bethany), Ellie, Olyvia, Elise, Jenna, Jessiah, Megan, Joslyn, Zachary, Jackson, Aspen, Megan, Madeline, Caleb, Mara, Cooper, Ethan, Addison, Kendall; her siblings, Debbie (Richard), Karen, Sharon (Robert), Danuela (Michael), Paul (Becky), Michael (Debra) and her fur baby Oden.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents Mary Jernigan Hannon, Weldon Howell, Paul Bradley, Billy Hannon, and her former husbands Bill Ware and Terrence Crane.
Her funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 21st, 2026 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church followed by a procession to Higginsville Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church or the Combat Vets Association in her name.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, 101 W. Main Street, Warsaw.
