Serges Fernand Fontaine, age 78, of Warsaw Missouri, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at his home.
He was born on December 21, 1946, in Sherbrooke Quebec, Canada, the son of Ronald and Fleurette Fontaine (Roy). Serges grew up in Sherbrooke, Quebec and later across the US Border in the Northern Eastern States.
Serges proudly served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He spent most of his working life in the construction industry as a drywall installer and finisher. His work took him and his family to various locations over the years. Upon his retirement in 2007, Serges and his wife moved permanently to Warsaw, Missouri.
Outside of work, Serges had a lifelong love for automobiles. He especially enjoyed caring for his cars and spending time maintaining them. Serges was also a people person. He loved to strike a conversation with anyone that surrounded him even with complete strangers. His passion for music has carried him throughout his whole life.
Serges is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Claudette Fontaine (Bouchard); three sons, Steven Fontaine and his wife Lisa of Belton, Missouri, Tommy Fontaine and his wife Nisha of Orchard Park, New York, and Scott Fontaine of Black Lick, Ohio; two grandchildren, Madeleine and Austin Fontaine; four brothers, Rejean, Normand, Yves, and Guy Fontaine; and three sisters, France, Lise, and Nancy Fontaine all residing in Quebec, Canada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mario Fontaine; and a sister, Marielle Fontaine.
Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
