Shelley R. James, age 59, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at her home. She was born on January 5, 1966, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Earl and Helen (Copenhaver) James. She grew up in Kansas City before moving to Warsaw several years ago.
Shelley had a passion for cooking and loved planting flowers. She was an avid thrift store shopper and enjoyed listening to music. A true animal lover, she cherished the companionship of her two Yorkies, Spike and Max, and her cat, McGee, who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dale James and Daniel James.
Shelley is survived by her loving companion, Donnie Garmon, of the home; four sisters: Janice Hannah of Independence, Missouri; Carol Spieler and her husband, Lee, of Kansas City; Beverly Ballew of Belton; and Susan James of Independence. She is also survived by one brother, David James, and his wife, Jodie, of Independence.
A celebration of life for Shelly will be held at a later date. Arrangements for her cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
