The highly anticipated matchup between Lincoln and Eugene on Friday night in Lincoln went sour in a hurry.
Eugene came out bombing threes and it was 22-6 after one. Lincoln, a defensive minded team under head coach Tyler Burke, had no answer to the now 9-3 Eugene club in the 62-27 drubbing.
Junior Ben Eckhoff was the Cardinals one bright spot with 13 points.
Ethan Wanderlich had all of his game high 17 points in the first half that included three first quarter three pointers and two in the second quarter.
It was 32-13 at the half and 46-21 after three.
Lincoln is now 8-2 and will be in action again when weather permits.
