Three people, including two Warsaw residents, were injured in a serious UTV accident that occurred last Sunday in rural Benton County.
According to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports, an eastbound Kubota UTV, driven by 67-year old Salvatore G. Schembri of Warsaw, was at 28797 High Ridge Drive around 5:10 PM when Schembri was backing out and went over a steep ledge, eventually landing in the water.
Schembri and his two passengers, 66-year old Catherine A. Schembri, also of Warsaw, and 66-year old Kimberly A. Taylor of Park Hill, suffered serious injuries.
The Schembri's were flown to University Hospital in Columbia by Life Flight, while Taylor was transported by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance to Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia for treatment.
The UTV was said to have moderate damage.
TPR RW Rosenthal, TPR JW Miller, TPR CS Riley and TPR BG Katzing were assisted at the scene by Benton County deputies.
