The Cole Camp R-1 School Board has named Mrs. Lindsey Tinney as the next high school principal, effective July 1, 2025.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Special Education (cross-categorical) from the University of Central Missouri in 2007, Mrs. Tinney began her teaching career as a special education teacher in the Cole Camp R-1 School District. In 2022, she became assistant Principal at Cole Camp High School.
School Superintendent Christina Hess said, “We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Tinney to this administrative position. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and more than anything, she is a vital member of the Bluebird family already. She will provide the consistent leadership that will allow CCHS to continue to grow and develop.”
Mrs. Tinney completed her Master of Education in Information Science and Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2011 and received her Education Specialist in Administration from William Woods University in 2017. She lives with her husband, Justin, and their four children, Leighton, Jace, Kyler, and Macoy on their family farm outside of Cole Camp.
Mrs. Tinney will succeed Jonathan Petersen who has resigned effective June 30 to take on the role of Superintendent at Green Ridge R-8 School district.
