Victor J. Scheuring

Victor J. Scheuring, age 93, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.

Victor was born on October 5, 1932, in Higginsville, Missouri, to Joseph and Caroline Scheuring. He grew up in Higginsville and was a graduate of Higginsville High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and later in the Army National Guard.

On June 20, 1959, Victor was united in marriage to Ruth Fink at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bevier, Missouri. Following their marriage, they made their home in Independence, Missouri, where Victor was employed with the Ford Motor Company. He retired in 1992 after many years of dedicated service. In 1996, Victor and Ruth moved to Warsaw, Missouri.

Victor enjoyed a wide range of hobbies, including fishing, hunting, coin collecting, throwing horseshoes, woodworking, and playing bocce ball. He was a member of the UAW Autoworkers Union of Kansas City, the Knights of Columbus Jay Harris Council of Warsaw, and St. Ann Catholic Church. Victor earned his Eagle Scout rank and was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He also gave back to his community by delivering Meals on Wheels in Independence for several years.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Francis “Buddy” Scheuring, Lawrence “Sammy” Scheuring, and Robert “Butch” Scheuring; and two sisters, Mary Ann Morris and Anna Margaret Scheuring.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Scheuring, of the home; his children, Frank Scheuring of Independence, Missouri, and Mary Therese Crowder and her husband William of Evans, Georgia; five grandchildren, William Crowder III of Beaver Creek, Ohio, Traci Goolsby and her husband Justin of Evans, Georgia, Dominique Crowder of Evans, Georgia, Amanda Hester and her husband Tim of Independence, Missouri, and Katelin Scheuring of Independence, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Funeral Mass for Victor J. Scheuring will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Warsaw, Missouri, with Father Ben Nwosu officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.

Interment with full military rites will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
