Warsaw Falls To Concordia On Last At-Bat

A walk-off left the Ladycats on the wrong end of a 1-0 final at Concordia last Tuesday night. Throughout the pitcher's duel, the game was tied at 0-0 in the bottom of the seventh when Kynleigh Abney singled for the Lady Orioles to score the winning run.

Both teams were strong in the circle. Concordia's Olivia Hemme struck out 16, while Warsaw's Brylee Brewster sat down 14.

Brewster surrendered four hits and one run (zero earned) over six and one-third innings, struck out 14 and walked none. Olivia Hemme gave up three hits and zero runs over seven innings, struck out 16 and walked none.

Adison Sherrill led Warsaw with two hits in three at bats.

Abney went 1 for 3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. She, Hemme, Karleigh Wilckens, and Ava Mueller each collected one hit for Concordia.
