William Keith "Billy" Davidson, 54, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away on September 2, 2025. He was born on March 15, 1971, in Clinton, Missouri, to William K. Davidson and Janice S. (Flippin) Davidson. His Aunt Marilyn, a nurse present at his birth, gave him the nickname "Putt Putt," as he came into the world tooting and full of life.
Billy is survived by his three children: Charles and wife Lauren, William and wife Heather, and Dracie and husband Justin; his sister, Michelle, and husband Tim Plumlee; his eleven grandchildren: Zachary, Tyler, Lukas, Whitleigh, Marlie, Oliver, Theodore, Ryzel, Brantley, Regan, and Willow; and his beloved nephews and niece: Marcus, Mitchell, Mason, Micah, Marcella and great niece Grace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Janice Davidson, and his sister, Shelly S. Davidson.
From the very beginning, Billy's personality was unforgettable. As a child, he made the newspaper when asked about the four seasons and answered, "rabbit, deer, turkey, squirrel." At a family gathering at the Fristoe community building, after hearing the song "The Streak," he stripped down, took off running in nothing but boots, and said he was "streaking through the pole beans!"-one of many stories that captured his humor and free spirit.
Billy graduated from Warsaw High School and later married Ranee Davidson, with whom he welcomed his three children. He was a talented ASE-certified mechanic, passionate about his work, and respected by his employers for his skill and dedication. He loved hunting, fishing, and family gatherings, often declaring he was "too full" while still going back for more, and was well-known for his unique fried bologna sandwiches with toppings only he could dream up.
Many recognized Billy's heart and his willingness to do for others, always asking nothing in return. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Warsaw, Missouri, following his profession of faith in Jesus Christ. Though he battled alcoholism throughout his life, he never stopped growing in his faith and became involved in several men's ministries, planting seeds of encouragement, hope, and love in those around him.
Though his earthly struggles were real, his faith never wavered, and today he walks in victory for eternity. His humor, kindness, and love for others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, Missouri, officiated by Pastor Mike Ryan on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Billy are invited to attend, share memories, and honor his life. Billy's final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Warsaw, MO.
