William R. "Bill" England
December 18, 1941- January 24, 2026
Bill, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, and reunited with Marianne in Heaven.
Bill was the oldest of five children born to Reuel & Johnnie (Lea) England.
He lived and worked on the family farm through school, and as a wheat harvest farmer during the summer months before graduating from Climax Springs in 1960. After graduation, he moved to the Kansas City area, and it was then, through mutual friends, he met Marianne. They were married for 63 years, until her passing in October 2025.
He switched careers from farming to working for H. D. Lee for 20 years, starting in the warehouse and changed to over the road trucking, continued local trucking for Parker Oil and Gerken Oil, retiring in 2007.
Bill and Marianne lived in the Kansas City area for almost 20 years, before settling in Warsaw 44 years ago. Together, they raised 5 children.
During retirement, he and Marianne would often "go for a ride", short trips on the back roads and looking at the fall foliage, or long trips through various states.
He enjoyed watching Westerns and ball games on TV, playing card games and board games, and talking to family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marianne; his parents; his brother, Wilmer England; his sister, Wanda Byrd; his brother-in-law, John Westhoff; and grandson, Dakota England.
Bill is survived by his children: Karen England; Bill England (Melissa); James England (Heather); Sharon Adams (Ryan); and Erin Huebert (Matthew). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren: Stacey, Paige (Corey), Brittany (Brian), Lisa (John), Sarah (Cheyenne), Cree, Lane, Levi, Chance, Ashton (Myron), Jase, and Peyton; and twelve great-grandchildren: Jackson, Colton, Emma, Grace, Marissa, Ashlynn, Santana, Szandor, Eli, Paisley, Vivianna, and Luke.
Additional survivors include his brother, Roy England (Vernette), his sister, Wilda Pitts (Keith), sister-in-laws, Sondra England, Charlotte Neher, brother-in-law, Richard Westhoff, several nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Benton County Hospice.
