As the school year winds down, area schools are planning for graduation for the Class of 2023.
Fifty-nine seniors at Cole Camp High School will be honored on May 12 starting at 7 PM in the high school auditorium. Class president Kylan LeCroy will give the welcome speech followed by class speakers Owen Ives and Reyna Kammeyer.
Senior awards were be presented on May 10 starting at 6 PM and followed by a Baccalaureate service afterwards in the high school auditorium.
The last day of school for the Cole Camp district is May 18. This will be a half day.
On May 23 summer school classes will begin for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade from 8 to 3 on Tuesday through Friday. Summer school ends on June 8.
School will resume on August 21 with a full day of classes.
The Class of 2023 in Lincoln will participate in graduation ceremonies starting at 7:30 PM on May 12 on the high school football field. Thirty-six seniors are expected to receive their high school diplomas.
The last day of school at Lincoln will be May 18. Students will be dismissed at 11 AM after the annual awards assembly.
School will resume on August 22 with a full day of classes.
A full week of activities are scheduled for the eighty-four Warsaw High School seniors starting with the senior trip to St. Louis on May 12 starting a 6:10 AM. The seniors are going to visit the St. Louis Zool, Science Center and other attractions.
On May 15 the seniors will have their class group picture taken followed by graduation practice then they will participate in the community clean-up day followed by a picnic.
On May 16 the seniors will do their Walk-Through at both North and South Warsaw Elementary Schools followed by lunch and a senior field trip.
On May 17, the seniors will be honored at the Senior Awards Assembly at 5:30 PM in the high school auditorium followed by the Baccalaureate Service at 7 PM.
Graduation for the Class of 2023 will be held on May 18 at 7 PM on Randy Morrow Football Field.
The Class of 2023 will leave for Project Graduation at 10 PM for a night of celebration. The bus will return at 6 AM.
Summer School for the Warsaw R-9 District will be May 30 until June 23. Classes will be held Tuesday through Friday from 7:54 until 3:31 for high school and middle school and 7:59 through 3:36 for the elementary students. High school and middle school classes are for credit recovery while elementary classes are enrichment classes.
Classes resume for the Warsaw R-9 District on August 22 with a full day of classes.
