Debra Jean Hope, 72, of Wichita, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024 surrounded by family. A 1970 graduate of Wichita North, Debbie earned her Bachelor's from WSU and her Master's from TCU. With her master’s degree in psychology, she found her professional calling where she dedicated nearly 26 years to serving the mentally disabled population as a psychologist with the State of Louisiana. After semi-retiring in 2008, she relocated to Clinton, MO, resuming her career at the Center for Human Services in Harrisonville and Warsaw, MO. She worked as a psychologist for a total of 46 years before retiring in 2021 and relocated to Wichita Kansas where she was raised.

Debbie is survived by her sister, Lynda Beth Adams of Raymore, MO, brother Randle Hope (Marian) of Timnath, CO, nieces Lorri Adams and Lynna Goldsby of Olathe, KS, Leann Alexander (John) of Raymore, MO, nephews Matthew Hope (Nichole) and Nathan Hope (Lindsay) of Fort Collins, CO, great-nieces Katie and Jillian Alexander of Raymore, MO and other relatives and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Margaret Hope, nephew, Kevin Hope, brother-in-law Larry Adams.

Debbie lived life fully, attending concerts, advocating for animals and traveling. Memorial donations can be made to Pawsibilities at https://pawsibilities-are-endless-donation.cheddarup.com. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 1 p.m., at Villa Luna 8406 W Central Ave, Wichita, KS.

Debbie's passion for life and impact on others will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
