The Lord has blessed the Fristoe area with several nice rain showers this past week and the people who had garden produce growing had prayers answered. Dean Arnett has had two meals with fresh new potatoes this week; one with red potatoes, which are his favorites and a meal with white potatoes later. There are several farms that are owned by Amish farmers in our area now and they for sure are going to have lots of farm products for people to buy! Drive out the Fristoe way and watch for signs.

Prayer requests for this week are: Adam Smith, Kathy First, Gladys Harris, Carolee Apperson and Mary Scarbrough

Happy Birthday to my cousin Connie Shelby this week, also Claude Weaver, and my special great-granddaughter. Lilli! God bless all of you!

REMINDER: Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church will be in REVIVAL an OLD TIME BRUSH ARBOR revival, Wednesday May 29, Thursday May 30, Friday May 31 and Saturday June 1, all beginning at 7:00 PM. Friday and Saturday nights food will be offered at 6:00 PM by ladies of the church! Come and take, as the song said there will be praying, shouting, singing until the countryside is ringing!

The Fristoe Lighthouse Church was blessed Sunday morning with the attendance of Sis. Ullum and daughter Jeanne and Todd. Sis Ullum had celebrated her 92nd birthday last week and the church enjoyed celebrating with her one more time.

I went into Camden County to Cable Ridge Cemetery where my mother's family are a lot buried. I always make a point to try to put flowers on Mom's and my Grandma, Artie Houseworth Reno's grave on Memorial Day. Years ago, when I was young, this cemetery held what they called "Decoration Day" and it was the first Sunday of June and I remember my Grandma and many of Cable Ridge's residents had lunch together that day at the cemetery!

Several were out of town at church this Sunday but great music was sung by Claude, Delores and the Lighthouse Singers and also Bro. Dave Cunningham sang a great special! Bro. Smith brought his message from Luke chapter eleven!

Thought for the week: Let your light shine before others that people may see your good works and GLORIFY your Father which is in heaven!

Hope everyone reading the paper has had a wonderful Memorial Day and a great week to come!
