The next to last week in August had really nice weather with some much cooler than normal. However, by Saturday afternoon and evening, the area received over an inch of rain, and what a blessing. Dean's tomatoes had begun to cut back on how they were producing but this moisture will really perk them up.

Just a reminder that this weekend is the weekend of the Benton County Rodeo; Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31.

Also remember Madalyn Arnett is running for Rodeo Queen.

Saw reports that the Warsaw volleyball and football teams participated in year starting games over this weekend.

On Saturday, September 14, the family of Mary Scarbrough will be having a birthday party for her at the Cross Timbers Community Building. Pay attention everyone! Mary will have her 97th birthday on Wednesday, September 11. There will be more about this next week!

Prayers for this week are: Kathy First, also Lewis Retherford is in nursing home in Clinton and will be for at least 20 days, Judy Retherford, Gladys Harris, Carolee Apperson and Mary Scarbrough.

The Antwiler Park Board announced that the Annual Fish Fry held each year at the Fristoe Community Building and Park will be held this year on Saturday, October 26 beginning at 4:00 PM.

Fristoe Pentecostal Lighthouse Church was Blessed with Dave and Connie C. leading song service with help from Bryan, DoBee and Layne. The last week of Sunday School study in Psalms. Bro. Smith's message was from Exodus chapter 31.
