The annual reunion of the descendants of Arthur B. (1880-1960) and Rozella (Sapp) Means (1881-1941) was held September 22, 2024. It was hosted by the family of the late Jesse and Audra (Means) Wilson and was held at the Abbott home in rural Calhoun. Wilson family members attending were: Vera (Wilson) Griffith, Calhoun; Ila Fern (Wilson) Briggs, Knob Noster; Delores (Griffith) and Sean Terry, Windsor; Marsha (Griffith) Abbott, Calhoun; Audra (Abbott), Braelyn and Benson Schumpert, Calhoun; Matt and Cooper Terry, Calhoun; Joy (Wilson) Meek, Windsor; Peggy (Briggs) Linn, Holden; Ruby (Briggs) Pruitt, Peculiar; Bruce and Glenva Briggs, Green Ridge; Eric, Kelly, Harper and Owen Linn, Raymore; Frances (Crews) Rasco, Grandview; Carol Faye Crews, Grandview; and Allie (Terry) Tucker, Green Ridge.
The planning committee for the Reunion was Marsha Abbott, Peggy Linn and Joy Meek. Marsha Abbott welcomed everyone and the Lord’s Prayer was recited followed by a contributive dinner. Paul David Hayes, Portland, Oregon, who had passed away July 22, 2024, was remembered.
