Nancy Jane Eidson, age 89, of Clinton, Missouri passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Heritage Avonlea of Olathe, Kansas.
Nancy Jane Meads was born April 27, 1935 in Camden County Missouri to Lula and Ray Meads. She married Oscar Sterling Eidson in December of 1953. They were married for 64 years until his death in 2017.
She worked as a waitress at the Bluebird Cafe in Camdenton as a teenager to help her mother support herself and her 4 sisters of which she was the oldest. Later, Nancy was employed by the Clinton School system as a bus driver and Henry County Health Center.
Nancy is survived by her son Danny and his wife Jama, three grandchildren, Courtnay Scarborough, Nathan Eidson and wife Aimee and Morgan Vaughn and husband Brett. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Nancy was a devoted grandmother who loved her family with all her heart.
Funeral services were held September 27, 2024 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, MO with Pastor Tim Wessley officiating. Special music included “When I Get Where I’m Going, Home and Well Done.” The casket bearers were Danny Eidson, Carter Wild, Nick Spooner, Nathan Eidson, Brett Vaughn and Hugh Fowler. Kemper Eidson was an honorary bearer. Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Macks Creek, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
