Ronald F. Howard, 81, also known as "Opie", of Perry Mo. passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 in Warsaw Mo. He was born February 18, 1943, in Moberly, Missouri to Francis J. Howard and Edith (Willsie) Howard.

He graduated from Moberly High School and went on to graduate from Moberly Area Community College. In 1964, he was united in marriage to Jane (Briscoe) Howard, and they made their home in Middle Grove Mo. until their divorce in 1979.

Most will remember Ron as an avid fisherman, always looking for the next big catch. So, it may come as no surprise that he passed away after a day of doing what he enjoyed the most, fishing. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters, and a grandson, Daniel Johnston.

Ron is survived by his companion, Jere Nelson.
