With three starters out, the 0-5 Lincoln Cardinals ran 9 players in and out in a 60-38 win over Concordia at the W-K Holiday Shootout in Sedalia at State Fair on Wednesday night.

Coach Tyler Burke commented, "We looked like Lincoln tonight. We forced turnovers and we were aggressive on both ends. I was very proud of our team tonight."

It was 13-10 in favor of the Orioles after one. However, the Cardinals stayed composed and led 26-22 at the half.

The sophomore laden Cardinals came out firing led by the athletic sophomore Anthony Srader, who had 12 of his game high 16 points and junior Cam Everhart had 7 of his 11 points in the third period. It was 49-31 and Lincoln could taste the sweet victory.

Coach Burke added, "We missed a lot of layups but our free throw shooting was better (10 for 19). We have work to do but we are heading in the right direction."

Lincoln moved to 1-5 while Concordia fell to 2-5.

On Monday night, Lincoln had faced a Stover team with two 6'6" players and a quick guard. The end result was a 52-37 defeat on their home court to remain winless and they are still looking for answers.

Lincoln seemed very tentative with their shot selection but Coach Burke explained, "They played good defense in their zone and we had a hard time running our offense. We didn't get back in transition very well."
