Downtown Loads Up On Spirit With Tailgate Party

Looking for something to do this weekend? Look no further than Main Street in Warsaw for the Third Annual Kick Off to Fall Tailgate Party on Saturday, September 14, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

The Tailgate Party was started by Jennifer Flores, owner of Country Charm Boutique on Main Street, to showcase her fall line of Kansas City Chiefs fashions.

“I started the Tailgate Party three years ago, but this year will be bigger than ever as I have invited all the businesses on Main Street as well as vendors in the area to come join as we head into the fall season,” said Flores.

Flores designs and prints many of the t shirts and sweatshirts in her store and ships to other boutiques across the country. She has seven employees who help her as she builds her business.

“I want to help other business owners as well as Warsaw,” said Flores. “I love this community and I want to see it grow. We have lost several businesses downtown so we need to support each other and buy local.”

Vendors at the Tailgate Party include: fall décor, sewn crafts, handmade natural products, candles, Chiefs metal art, DIY pumpkin painting station, dog bandanas, permanent jewelry, flower cart, Chiefs door hangers, hand painted hats, mum and pumpkins, charm necklaces, crochet animals and crafts, hair bows, Kansas City football apparel and accessories, patch bar, boutique apparel and so much more.

There will also be different food vendors including: The Fix Coffee and Teas, Ice, Ice Crazy Shaved Ice, Tacos El Arca Mexican Street Tacos, cotton candy station, kettle corn, candy popcorn, freeze dried candy, fudge, toasted snacks and so much more.

Main Street will be blocked off from Rusty Skillet up to the Warsaw city office building. Vendors will be set up on the street with the food vendors at the end of the street.

Country Charm will be closed during the week in order to get the new Kansas City Chiefs apparel ready. Country Charm will open on Saturday, September 14 at 10:00 AM.

Each customer who makes a purchase at Country Charm on Saturday will be in a drawing for a red Yeti cooler, two tickets to a Chiefs’ home game or $500 cash.

Shop local and help boost the Benton County economy as fall and the holiday shopping season nears.
