George Taylor Cook

George Taylor Cook, age 67, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on October 11, 1954 in Independence, Missouri the son of George Richard and Rosalie Mae Cook.
He grew up in Independence, Missouri until moving to Lincoln where he attended Lincoln High School for his Senior year where he graduated with the Class of 1972.
He was employed for Hilty Quarry in Warsaw for 34 years until his retirement in 2018.  George was also a cattle rancher and an exceptional checker player where he was an 11-time Missouri state checker champion. 
George is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Barbara Cook in 2017.
He is survived by his significant other, Betty Rutledge, of the home, three children, Emery Cook, and wife, Angie, of Smithton, Missouri, Bobby Cook and Laura Cook both of Texas, two step-daughters, Cathy Engles and her husband Rob and Amber Yearout and her husband, Chad, all of Lincoln, 7 grandchildren, Amanda, George, Bryanna, Ryan, Parker, Aaron and Macie, two siblings, Lola Johnson and John Cook, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri with Pastor Renae Watt, officiating.  A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M.  Graveside services and interment will follow at the Lincoln Cemetery.
